Wind Advisory issued for San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties

SAN LUIS OBISPO AND SANTA BARBARA COUNTIES, Calif. – The National Weather Service has issued a wind advisory for the central coast of both counties and the interior of San Luis Obispo County from Sunday, Jan. 15 at 6 p.m. to Monday, Jan. 16 at 2 a.m.

Extra caution is advised when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle.

Southward winds are expected to be 15 to 25 miles per hour with gusts up to 40 miles per hour.

Gusty winds can pick up unsecured objects and can cause tree limbs to be blown down. Expect potential power outages.
