Santa Barbara County Association of Governments selects Lompoc Mayor as Chair
SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. – The Santa Barbara County Association of Governments has unanimously chosen Lompoc Mayor Janelle Osborne as Chair with Fifth District County Supervisor Steve Lavagnino to serve as Vice-Chair.
The county-wide government board also added new members: County Supervisor Laura Capps, Solvang Mayor Mark Infanti and Buellton Mayor Dave King.
The SBCAG board is a planning agency that includes all five members of the Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors and a representative from each city council.
State-wide initiatives like broadband access and zero-emission vehicle infrastructure as well as county-based Measure A funded road improvements are examples of policies organized through the SBCAG.
