Possible DUI crash knocks down light pole on Garden Street in Santa Barbara

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Santa Barbara police responded to a possible DUI crash that knocked down a light pole on Garden Street Monday night.

The crash happened around 8:30 p.m. on the 100 block of Garden near East Yanonali Street.

Police said the single-vehicle crash appears to be DUI related. It is unclear if anyone was injured at this time.

There were street closures in the immediate area while officers waited for SB Public Works to respond and fix the downed light pole.

Police expect the area to be clear before morning.
