Santa Barbara police detain three suspects involved in shooting on Easter Sunday

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- Santa Barbara police detained three suspects in a shooting on Easter Sunday in Santa Barbara.
On Sunday around 1:50 p.m., the Santa Barbara Police Department responded to reports of gunshots in the area of Punta Gorda Street and Salinas Street in Santa Barbara.
Police collected evidence on scene which included several spent shell casings.
In their investigation they found that the involved suspects were in different vehicles. They had a physical fight and when the shots were fired they each dispersed from the scene.
Police say there were no reported injuries.
Shortly after the incident, police officers were able to locate one potentially involved vehicle.
Officers then conducted a high-risk stop of three occupants on the 1300 block of Santa Barbara Street.
The three occupants in the car were detained for questioning.
Police say each of the individuals lived outside of Santa Barbara City.
Police took in the vehicle for evidence processing.
The incident remains under investigation.
Police say it does not appear to be gang-related.
