Fire Teams Fighting 85-Acre Vegetation Fire Along Soda Lake Road in Eastern SLO County

SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif. (KEYT) – Fire crews are battling an 85-acre vegetation fire in the 13000 block of Soda Lake Road in eastern reaches of San Luis Obispo County Wednesday.

According to the San Luis Obispo County Fire Department, forward progress of the flames was halted around 3:45 p.m. were largely limited to grasses.

No structures were threatened as local weather patterns caused the fire to burn in a long line, no wider than around 200 feet, and towards an older burn scar that firefighters hope will assist in their response detailed the San Luis Obispo County Fire Department.

The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation added the local emergency response agency.
