Fire Crews Responded to 31-Acre Vegetation Fire in Eastern SLO County Monday

SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif. (KEYT) – Fire teams responded to a 31-acre vegetation fire along State Route 58 in eastern portions of San Luis Obispo County Monday.

According to the San Luis Obispo County Fire Department, one outbuilding was threatened in the 8200 block of State Route 58, northwest of Simmler and east of Bitterwater Road, but forward progress of the flames was halted around 2 p.m. and the fire was fully contained by 3:29 p.m. Monday.

Flames were largely limited to nearby grasses in the area as crews responded on the ground and in the air added the local emergency response agency.
