Morro Bay Police investigate 78-year-old man found dead in boat
SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif. – Morro Bay Police said officers are investigating the death of a 78-year-old man who was found dead in a boat Tuesday morning.
The Morro Bay Police Department said it received a call just before 8 a.m. about a possible deceased person inside a stored boat on a property in the 1500 block of Main St. in Morro Bay.
Officers arrived and found the 78-year-old unresponsive inside of the boat.
The man was confirmed deceased when fire personnel arrived, but the cause of death is undetermined.
The police department said the investigation is ongoing.
Two storm-related deaths were reported in San Luis Obispo County. A woman drowned in flood waters on Avila Beach Drive Monday.
