Armed robbery investigation underway in Pismo Beach
PISMO BEACH, Calif. – The Pismo Beach Police Department is investigating an armed robbery that occurred at a gas station on Sunday night.
The police department received a call of an armed robbery at the Shell Gas Station on Shell Beach Road around 8 p.m. Sunday night, according to Detective Sergeant Anthony Hernandez.
Arriving officers found out that a man had entered the store, waved a gun at the clerk, and demanded cash, Hernandez said.
The male suspect fired a single shot into the ceiling and fled the gas station with an undetermined amount of money before officers arrived, he added.
Officers searched the area, but were unable to find the man.
There were no reported injuries, according to Hernandez.
