San Luis Obispo County reopens limited indoor dining

ARROYO GRANDE, Calif. – San Luis Obispo County has moved out of the state’s most restrictive COVID-19 restrictions, meaning some businesses can reopen limited indoor operations.

Some much needed good news for San Luis Obispo County restaurants, indoor services are back with limited capacity.

“It’ll be enjoyable to see slightly the needle putting in the right direction of normalcy,” said Mason Bar and Kitchen General Manager Daniel Perez.

However, Perez said his business is not ready for the transition quite yet.

“For us first and foremost like i said the safety of our staff is going to be the most important, making sure that everything is compliant. ”

Mason Bar and Kitchen isn't the only Arroyo Grande business delaying the reopening of indoor dining.

Rooster Creek Tavern's Mindy Calmenson says her business is doing the same, “we are going to give it a few days to make sure our staff is all prepared and ready to go.”

As those businesses delay reopening indoor dining, tourists are finding other options that are open.

“Business need to survive, people need to work, and that what it is about,” said John Blackburv, from Handford.

For now, both businesses plan to reopen services as soon as next week.
