SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY, Calif. – California Highway Patrol officers asked the community to drive with extra caution as the wet weather hits the Central and South Coast.

Officer Michael Griffith with CHP Buellton said it's important to slow down. "When the roadways are wet, and it's flooded, speed is the number one crash factor that we see in the Central Coast," said Officer Griffith.

The CHP officer also asks drivers to leave space for the cars in front of them and avoid driving too close to them.
