Wine lovers toast 23rd California Wine Festival

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KEYT) Wine lovers from far and wide toasted the 23rd California Wine Festival with souvenir glasses.

The festival took place at Chase Palm Park Oceanside on Saturday

Organizers call it the California Wine Festival's signature event.

It features local wine, cheese, chocolate and BBQ, too.

"The runner up this year is oak and fire and the champion of best tri tip of he 805 is  craft wood fireed catering they don't even know yet but we re going to announce it to them soon. And we hope everyone will be back next year, same weekend the third weekend in July until i am too old to do it, "said California Wine Festival Executive Director Emily Kaufmann.

"Every year I go to all of them multiple locations and this is my favorite one," said Adusea Irumundomon, "The scenery the people and of course the wine and yes especially the people they are very friendly here."

Saturday's tasting followed an evening event at the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort on Friday night.

The weather made Saturday's tasting so nice that people didn't seem to be in a hurry to leave.
