College students rally against new administration's actions

VENTURA, Calif. – Ventura College students held a rally last week to fight injustice.

One sign read, “Fight ignorance, not immigrants,” while another stated, “The real felon is in office.”

Organizers said they are standing in solidarity with Dreamers against deportation and supporting the LGBTQ+ community.

They are also rallying against efforts to eliminate diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.

Students said they want a democracy rather than an autocracy.

A nationwide protest is scheduled for Monday.

It is sponsored by the group 50501, which stands for 50 protests, 50 states, one day.
