16-year-old arrested for driving stolen vehicle in Ventura

VENTURA, Calif. - Ventura police arrested a 16-year-old girl for being in possession of a stolen vehicle on Saturday.

The Ventura Police Department Command Center received tips regarding a stolen vehicle seen in the area of Olive Street and Bell Way around 3:57 p.m.

Officers responded to the area and located the vehicle on the 100 block of El Medio Street.

After performing a traffic stop on the car, police arrested the teen driver without incident.

Ventura PD said the vehicle was reported stolen out of Simi Valley. It has since been returned to its owner.
