OXNARD, Calif. - Oxnard police officers attempted to stop a silver Cadillac that was speeding on Gonzales Road near Oxnard Boulevard Thursday morning.

Officers said they turned on their emergency lights and sirens when the vehicle slowed, but the driver refused to pull over.

Officers continued following the vehicle until it stopped in the parking lot of Sierra Linda Elementary School on Jasmine Street.

Police later identified the driver as 36-year-old Yanualia "Jenny" Anguiano.

Police said when Anguiano was removed from her vehicle, they found she had been transporting a 10-year-old boy in the back seat.

Oxnard police arrested Anguiano for evading police, reckless driving and child endangerment.

The school was placed on lockdown during the arrest.
