Arroyo Grande police arrest parolee accused of selling drugs
ARROYO GRANDE, Calif. -- Arroyo Grande police arrested a man accused of possessing illegal drugs for sale.
Officers say they pulled over a pickup for vehicle code violation Tuesday at 11:30 p.m. in the 100 block of S. Halcyon Road.
Investigators say the driver, 42-year-old Aaron Charles Kirby, was on parole.
Police tell us they searched his car and found about two ounces of methamphetamine, around 13 grams of heroin packaged for sales, and other evidence Kirby was involved in drug deals.
Investigators say Kirby was also arrested in July of this year for drug sale related offenses.
Officers tell us he had large quantities of methamphetamine and other evidence of drug sales at the time of that arrest.
He was out on bail awaiting court proceedings when Tuesday’s arrest happened.
The suspect was arrested and booked into San Luis Obispo County Jail.
He’s facing several felony charges including possession of methamphetamine for sales, possession of heroin for sales, violating parole, and committing a felony while out on bail.
Kirby is also facing a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.
