Mild and warm Friday, tracking a pleasant weekend

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Happy Friday! High temperatures today will remain slightly above average, however the Central Coast will cool ever so slightly.

Marine layer returns to the coasts and parts of the valley areas through the weekend and allowing each morning to feel crisp and like Fall.

As we head into the weekend, First Alert Weather Center will be keeping a close eye on Hurricane Polo and Hurricane Odalys. As of now, no impacts from the hurricanes will affect the Central Coast, but upper level clouds and minor humidity could move through the region as the hurricanes pass through. Los Angeles County beaches could also see impacts with dangerous rip currents and high tides.

Overall, the weekend is looking very mild and pleasant! With the Goleta Lemon Festival, ONE 805 Concert and the Banana Festival all happening this weekend, we couldn't ask for greater conditions. Temperatures will cool further on Sunday and Monday, before another warming trend returns by Tuesday and Wednesday of next week. Wind speeds will pick up for wind prone areas in Santa Barbara county by Saturday, so that is something to keep in mind, however we have no wind or weather alerts in place.
