Santa Barbara City College on Lockdown Tuesday as Police Search for Suspect

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. (KEYT) – Santa Barbara City College's campus is currently on lockdown as law enforcement search for a single suspect accused of using a knife to slash a bicycle's tires Tuesday.

The Santa Barbara Police Department shared that officers are investigating a disturbance between two people and one of the involved people is with police as officers search the campus to confirm the other person has left the area.

According to Santa Barbara City College's Jordan Killebrew, both the east and west sections of campus are on lockdown as police respond to the scene.

No other details about the suspect or the circumstances leading to the incident have been shared with the public at this point added the Santa Barbara City College spokesperson.
