SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. – The Santa Barbara County Fire Safe Council hosted a wildfire preparedness exposition this weekend at Direct Relief in Goleta.

Fire personnel hosted the event to teach visitors how to live in wildfire threatened landscapes with information booths, demonstrations and panel discussions geared toward residents.

Fire Safety technician Rick Joy demonstrated how to use a fire extinguisher.

"Two things to remember, most important you're always better to aim too low when you're using it and you're always better to be too far than too close," said Joy.
