Detectives continue search for suspects in State Street stabbing

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Santa Barbara Police detectives are searching for the suspects involved in a stabbing on lower State Street Thursday evening.

Officers responded to the 500 Block of State Street around 10:30 p.m. after receiving reports that a stabbing had just occurred.

When they arrived, police reported finding one man suffering from multiple wounds to his body.

The victim was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment and is expected to survive.

Officers investigated and found there were multiple witnesses in front of a local bar when the altercation, and subsequent stabbing, took place.

Detectives are continuing the investigation and are in the process of identifying suspects.
