SLO police searching for person of interest in courthouse bomb threat
SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. - San Luis Obispo police are looking for a person of interest wanted in connection to a bomb threat that was made Wednesday afternoon, directed toward the San Luis Obispo County Courthouse.
Law enforcement responded to the courthouse at 1050 Monterey St. in San Luis Obispo just before 11 a.m.
A woman called an employee of the courthouse and said there were two bombs inside the building.
San Luis Obispo police and SLO County Sheriff's searched the building with two bomb detecting dogs, but no explosive devices were found.
The source of the call was isolated to a prepaid phone purchased at a CVS store.
Currently police do not know who made the call nor have they identified a motive behind the threat.
At around 3 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, police posted photos of a person of interest in the bomb threat. The person in the photos is believed to be the person who purchased the prepaid phone.
Anyone with information about this man or the bomb threat made to the county courthouse is asked to contact police.
