UCSB to use remote instruction for all summer sessions
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - UC Santa Barbara plans to use remote instruction for all of its summer sessions. The announcement extends a previous decision to only conduct the first summer sessions online, according to the university.
The first summer session begins on June 22.
The last summer session ends on September 12.
Campus housing will not be "generally available" to students this summer. Students who are already living on campus will be allowed to stay on campus. Other applications already received for housing will be canceled.
The Freshman Summer Start Program (FSSP) and Transfer Edge will also be delivered remotely.
The Research Mentorship Program and the Summer Research Academies, programs for pre-college students, will be held virtually.
