UPDATE: Forward rate of spread stopped on wildland fire on Rocky Canyon outside of Atascadero

UPDATE: As of 3:37 p.m. officials say forward rate of spread has been stopped

CAL FIRE San Luis Obispo responds to a wildland fire.

The blaze is on Rocky Canyon and Halcon Roads outside Atascadero.

Officials say ground resources and aircraft are on their way.

The units that are on scene say the fire is a 50×100 spot.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, please check back for more details.
