Woman arrested in connection with double stabbing inside Ventura home

A 23-year-old woman is behind bars facing criminal charges in a double stabbing that occurred in the 500 block of Cedar Street in Ventura on Oct. 31, 2018.

Police officers found two stabbing victims inside a home after being dispatched to Cedar Street at about 6:02 a.m.

Investigators identified Gabrielle Nett as the suspect and say she fled the crime scene before officers arrived.

There was some type of “disturbance” inside the home that led to the two unidentified victims, a man and woman, being stabbed, police said. Both victims were treated for non-life threatening injuries and taken to Ventura County Medical Center.

Nett was arrested at a home in Ventura later in the day. She was booked into Ventura County Jail on felony charges of assault with a deadly weapon and false imprisonment.
