Police capture third suspect after Montecito home burglary in a 17-hour manhunt

Santa Barbara County Sheriff's has identified the third suspect as 33-year-old Davion Dwyann Jones of Compton, California.
Santa Barbara Police charged Jones with felony vehicle theft, false impersonation and driving on a suspended license. He was then released to custody of Sheriff's deputies who arrested him for felony first-degree burglary, resisting arrest and felony false imprisonment for his alleged role in the Montecito home-break in.
[Update 7/19/18 6:00 p.m.] Our news crew working on this story has confirmed that the third suspect was captured by police Thursday afternoon after reportedly driving off in a stolen car from Coast Village Road, crashing, and then running into the exclusive Bonnymead community. He was caught at gunpoint.
In new details released by the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office, authorities say the victim hid inside her home while she called 911 after hearing a break-in at her home in Montecito. The suspects ran away after seeing the victim and encountered responding deputies outside the home.
A Sheriff's deputy saw one of the suspects point what appeared to be a handgun at him, and the deputy fired a single gunshot from his gun, according to the Sheriff's Office. No one appeared to have been injured and the suspects continued to run away from police.
A suspect vehicle registered out of Los Angeles County was found in the driveway of the home. A weapon believed to be from one of the suspects was located near the home.
Authorities say that just after 11 p.m., a suspect identified as being 26-year-old Los Angeles resident Adolph Washington, was found hiding in bushes in the area of Wyant Lane and Bonnie Road. He was arrested.
At 5:30 a.m., July 19, deputies patrolling the area spotted two of the three suspects in the 1200 block of Coast Village Road. One of the suspects, a teenage boy out of Los Angeles, was detained but the third suspect managed to escape deputies. Soon after, another emergency alert was sent out to area residents and businesses requesting they shelter in place and be on the lookout for the remaining suspect.
Washington was booked at Santa Barbara County Jail on first-degree burglary charges and is being held on $250,000 bail. The teen was booked at Santa Barbara County Juvenile Hall on first-degree burglary charges.
There is no booking information on the third suspect at this time.
[Update 7/19/18 6:50 a.m.] Deputies have arrested a second suspect Thursday morning. A manhunt continues for the third burglary suspect described as a black male adult in his late teens or early 20's wearing a white t-shirt.
Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office says the two suspects were located by deputies at 5:30 a.m. Thursday, in the 1200 block of Coast Village Road. That's when the second suspect was taken into custody but the third suspect ran away and have yet to be found.
[Update 7/19/18 6:13 a.m.] Deputies have cornered at least one suspect in an apartment complex on the 1200 block of Coast Village Road.
Residents in the complex are being told to shelter in place. Others are told to avoid the area.
Police believe the suspects may be armed.
INITIAL INFORMATION
A manhunt is underway Wednesday night in Montecito for two men believed to be armed and dangerous, according to Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Department.
A Montecito resident, according to authorities, called police around 10:30 p.m. after hearing people breaking into their home on the 100 block of Santa Elena.
Three men possibly armed were seen leaving the home. One of them was wearing a white T-shirt.
A Santa Barbara County Aware and Prepare alert urged area residents to shelter in place. The message said:
All residents shelter in place. Law enforcement in the area looking for 3 black male subjects who are possibly armed and dangerous. One subject was last seen wearing a white t shirt. If you see anyone suspicious, do not approach, call 911 immediately.
The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's deputies initially set up a perimeter from San Ysidro to Olive Mill Roads. Casa Dorinda to Jameson Road has been blocked off.
Around 12:20 a.m. Thursday, deputies decided to expand their search from San Leandro to San Ysidro Roads towards Summerland.
Deputies located a car reportedly connected to the suspects near the perimeter. They are using K9 units to track the scent.
Eventually, one suspect was found by police and taken into custody.
The California Highway Patrol and the SWAT team are assisting deputies with the investigation.
