Oxnard police arrest suspect in June armed robbery

The Oxnard Police Department arrested a woman suspected of robbing a fast food restaurant in late June.

Casey Alvarado, 37, of Oxnard was arrested Tuesday after a multiple weeks-long investigation.

Alvarado is accused of robbing the Dairy Queen at 1941 North Rose Ave. late on the night of June 21.

Police say Alvarado told an employee that she wanted to purchase an ice cream cone. Alvarado then revealed a black handgun from under her shirt and demanded money.
