Annual surfing competition kicks off at Rincon Beach
The annual Channel Islands Surfboards Rincon Classic kicked off early Saturday morning at Rincon Beach in Ventura .
Competitors of all ages are catching waves at Rincon Beach near the Ventura-Santa Barbara county line.
The competition features locals-only and pro-divisions.
Our own weekend weatherman Shawn Quien won his heat and advanced in the tournament.
The finals will be held Sunday afternoon with trophies handed out at 6:30 pm.
