Pier Reopens In Hueneme
Port Hueneme’s coastline is getting back to normal.
The pier reopened Thursday after an eight-month closure caused by piling problems.
Erosion weakened the pilings.
Repairs are now complete.
The beach is also getting some badly needed sand.
Dredging equipment in the Channel Islands harboring is working around the clock to pump sand through a pipe and onto Hueneme Beach.
The project should be complete next month.
