New Law Helps Absentee Voters
Absentee voters are getting some timing help under a new California law.
Previously, the ballot whether mailed or delivered in person had to arrive on election day by the time the polls closed at 8 p.m.
A new law says the ballots have to arrive within three days if they were mailed on or before election day.
In recent years, changes in voting deadlines, and registration have been made to help voters in new ways to be able to encourage more participation.
