Peaceful Protest March Held at UCSB

UCSB students planned a day full of action in support of the protests in Ferguson, Missouri protesters.

Members of the Black Student Union organized a march from campus to Isla Vista on Tuesday afternoon.

They carried a banner with the words “Black lives matter.”

Many held there hands up like they had heard Michael Brown did before he was shot and killed by an officer in Ferguson on Aug. 9.

Students said they want their voices heard.

Some headed to a community action and march at the Santa Barbara County Courthouse.

Others said they planned to attend a candlelight vigil outside Pardall Center at 9.pm.
