Deadline for a Mail Ballot Request is Tuesday

The deadline to request a vote by mail ballot is Tuesday. Santa Barbara County Clerk, Recorder, Assessor Joe Holland says however, you can do it over the phone if necessary.

The election office staff is ready to send out the final vote by mail ballots and already 123,000 have been delivered to registered voters.

27,000 have been returned as of Monday morning. That’s lower than a similar election four years ago, which may indicate a low voter turnout in next week’s election.
