Needy Kids To Get New Glasses on Sunday

The Eyeglass Factory in Santa Barbara and several non profits are coming together to serve hundreds of kids in need of eye care. The 20th annual “Kids Health Day” will be held Sunday providing free eye exams and glasses for families who can not afford it.

It’s all part of the year round “Right to Sight” program that now serves adults, veterans, and the homeless. On Sunday kids will be able to get their eyes checked, choose from hundreds of glasses, and walk away with a new pair that same day.

The event is from 9 to 2p.m. at the Eyeglass Factory on Milpas street in Santa Barbara, but your advised to arrive early. In previous years, folks were lined up from 6am. There will also be entertainment, free flu shots, and even a visit from Santa.
