Giving Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is not just about giving thanks this year.

At Allan Hancock College, it’s also about giving Thanksgiving!

College staff, faculty and administration raised over $3,000 dollars for the campus program called CARE.

CARE is aimed at helping low-income single parents reach educational goals.

Today CARE passed out Thanksgiving meals to 75 single parent families.

The semester is nearing finals and CARE doesn’t want the pressure of buying Thanksgiving dinner to bog down families during the holidays.

This is the college’s 5th year donating Thanksgiving meals.
