Youth-led Organization Helps Victims of Typhoon Haiyan
Hands4Others joined Water Missions International to aid victims of Super Typhoon Haiyan.
High school kids are volunteering their timeraising money andsupport to the many victims of Haiyan that are without clean water.
“When we saw this typhoon affect the Philippines we just knew immediately we had to help,” founder of Hands4Others Spencer Dusebout said.
Kids as young as 11 up through college students are coming together and getting involved when disaster strikes.
The money that they’ve raised helps purchase treatment systems that purifies water. It is then shipped out to the countries that are in need.
“We have already been able to raise enough money to install one system to Typhoon Haiyan. It’s in the process of being delivered to the Philippines by Friday. Our goal now is to raise enough money to install more systems,” project director Casey O’Tolle said.
H4O has also provided help to people in Haiti after the earthquake and also in Pakistan when it had the flood.
