Ventura Man Killed In A Gang Attack

Ventura police are still looking for the threemen who shot and killed Zach Lee.

The incident happenedSundaywhen officers responded to a call about a fight in progress on West Harrison Avenuein Ventura.

When police arrived they found Lee suffering from a gunshot wound to his head. He was then taken to Ventura County Medical Center where he died a day later.

Officers believe that the assailantswere gang members.

Lee was aVentura native who was in the process of changing his lifearound. Hehad beendrug andalcohol free for nearly two years and wasabout tograduating from an addictive disorders studies program at Oxnard College.

Becca Porter,Lee’steacher atOxnard College, said he madesuch a positive impacton the program.

“Hewas an excellent student, an awesome friend, and one of the most helpful humans I have ever met,” she said.
