Man Killed in Industrial Accident

A Santa Barbara area man is dead after an industrial accident.

The accident happened at the Gold Coast Dairy building on the 100 block of Aero Camino in Goleta at about 10:30 p.m. Monday.

The Victim is Jose Ortiz, a 21-year-old man from Santa Barbara County.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department has not released many details about the incident.

The accident involved a tractor-trailer. The man was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

California Occupational Safety and Heath (Cal/OSHA) is investigating the incident.
