Marrow Registry Drive Sunday for Goleta Woman

A labor of love will take place Sunday in Santa Barbara. And you are invited.

A big turn out is expected for a marrow-donor registry drive to help a local woman living with A-M-L leukemia.

This is Krista English’s second time battling the blood disease.

The Goleta mother of two underwent a bone marrow transplant four years ago from a close match. But a recent relapse put her friends and family in high gear in hopes of finding a perfect match.

“I’m at City of Hope. 200 patients. The more who register the more who can find that match.” Krista English said.

A simple swab of your inside cheek is all it takes.

The registry drive is this Sunday from 10:30 to 1:30 at Calvary Chapel at 1 North Calle Cesar Chavez, number 21, that’s down and around from Arts Alive.
