Home saved from kitchen fire
Santa Barbara City Fire Department and AMR responded to a structure fire just after 3 p.m. Monday.
It happened at a home on the 900 block of Indio Muerto and Milpas streets on Santa Barbara’s Eastside neighborhood.
According to emergency traffic one person was transported to the hospital with smoke inhalation.
Multiple city engines are on scene. Santa Barbara Police officers are providing traffic control in the area.
Initial reports said the fire started in the kitchen. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
