SB Foresters stay hot

The Santa Barbara Foresters wiped out a 2-0 deficit with a four-run first inning and never looked back as they beat San Luis Obispo 6-2 to pull within a half a game of the Blues in the California Collegiate League.

The Foresters also beat the Blues on Sunday to win the Rawlings Cup Tournament.

Ben Johnson just missed a grand slam in the first as his long fly to left hit off the top of the fence for a two-run double to tie the game up at 2. Louie Lechich followed with a two-run single to make it 4-2.

Ryan O’Hearn crushed a two-run home run in the second inning to complete the scoring for both teams.

Keaton Siomkin pitched seven strong innings as the Foresters won their fifth straight game.
