Milpas pursuit ends in arrest

A man wanted by police that led officers on a pursuit, is in custody Wednesday.

It happened just after 7:00 p.m. near Milpas and Quinientos streets in Santa Barbara.

Officers say 30-year-old Jeremiah Diaz had a warrant out for his arrest. When police spotted him riding a bicycle they tried to arrest him, and that’s when Diaz took off.

Diaz now faces numerous charges including: reckless driving, evading police, hit and run, drunken driving, and possessing drug paraphernalia.
