Nesovic leads UCSB to win over UC Irvine
About the only thing that UCSB freshman Robby Nesovic failed to do was sell programs at Saturday’s home game against UC Irvine. Nesovic homered as part of a 3-for-3 day at the plate and he also worked six solid innings on the moundin a 5-3 victory over the Anteaters.
Nesovic allowed three runs on three hits as he improves to 2-2 on the year. His seventh inning solo homer provided the final scoring of the game.
It’s the Gauchos first win over Irvine since 2010 after suffering three-game sweeps in 2011 and 2012. UCSB is 9-8 in the Big West Conference.
