Man killed by train

Police are investigating a possible suicide, after a man was struck and killed by a train in Santa Barbara.

It happened around 4:30 Sunday afternoon on State Street and Yanonali.

The Amtrak train was heading northbound from Los Angeles to San Luis Obispo when it hit the man.

Santa Barbara Police say the victim is a 63 years old. His name has not been released.

Passengers were forced to remain on board while police conducted their investigation.
