Fire Stations Remember

California Fire stations near and far held 9/11 remembrance ceremonies at 6:58a.m.That’s the time the second World Trade Center Tower hit by a plane became the first to fall.By the end of that Tueday in 2001 nearly 3000 people had been killed including 343 firefighters and 72 police officers.Oxnard Fire Station 7 and Ventura County Fire Station 51 sit side by side on the border of Oxnard and El Rio.That’s where city and county firefighters raised the flag together.They also invited the public to attend.Many remembered where they were that day.One couple was disappointed by the low turnout.But Firefighters say they didn’t expect too many to attend.They say people is ok for people to reflect on what happened in their own way.
