Chihuahuas De Mayo
Santa Barbara- Looking to add a 4-legged addition to your family. If you are, local animal shelters have just the event for you. It is “Chihuahuas De Mayo” — all month long. The event is a way to shine the spotlight on those little dogs with big pointy ears and personalities, who make up 40-percent of dogs living in area shelters. During “Chihuahuas De Mayo,” participating shelters will offer half-off adoption fees for all Chihuahuas and Chihuahua mixes. The shelters will also offer free spay or neuters to the first 300 dogs signed up as part of the “Whole Enchihuahua” program.
