Los Alamos Shooting Justified
Santa Barbara County’s District Attorney says the CHP officer involved in the shooting of Michael Ledesma was lawful given the circumstances.
In July, 18-year-old Michael Paul Ledesma, from Santa Maria was shot by a CHP officer after he allegedly charged the officer with a knife. Ledesma survived the shooting. He is facing several charges including assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer with a gang enhancement and felony child endangerment.
His preliminary hearing is set for January 16th in Santa Maria.
