Christmas in Solvang: Danish Traditions, Olsen’s Bakery & Drones

SOLVANG, Calif. - Traditions are rich in the small Santa Ynez Valley town of Solvang. Especially during Christmas time. They call it Julefest!

This year, the Danish landmark is adding to the holiday cheer with technological advancements. Lazers lights and dancing drones.

Along Copenhagen Drive, lazer lights fill the sky on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Accompanied with holiday music and a Christmas Market, the lazer light show starts at 6pm, running every half-hour.

The drone show, "Aurora Dronealis" is a one-time only event and only in Solvang. Hundreds of autonomous drones move in a choreographed show highlighting some of your favorite holiday imagery.

Aurora Dronealis is Saturday December 21 at 6:30 p.m.

And no trip to Solvang would be complete without a stop at some of the great traditional Danish restaurants and bakery shops.
