9th Annual Polo Classic kicks off in Santa Ynez Valley

SANTA YNEZ, Calif. - The 9th Annual Santa Ynez Valley Polo Classic took place at Piocho Ranch Saturday afternoon.

The polo event supports an organization called People Helping People which serves residents throughout Santa Barbara County.

The charity says its mission is to improve the lives of residents by addressing emergency and basic needs as well as offering supportive services.

VIP tickets to the polo event included catering, access to food trucks and plenty of wine.

A silent auction was also held with proceeds going directly to People Helping People.

“The guests come to this most extraordinary place with the most extraordinary views, and it highlights the best of what California is and Santa Barbara County is, and our beautiful wine region in the Santa Ynez Valley,” said Sean Pitts.

The polo match included some of the best women polo players in the world, some of which are from the local area.
