“Sky West and Crooked” movie brings “Breaking Bad” star to the SBIFF

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Fans of the TV show "Breaking Bad" and the movie "El Camino" will be able to see the latest film with actor Matt Jones during the Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

Jones appears in "Sky West and Crooked."

The film traces the years when a small girl who was disconnected from her father, a musician, runs into him in a bowling alley and they come back together.

It is directed by Heather Edwards, produced by David Linke and his brother Kevin Linke. The movie stars Matt Jones, Martha MacIsaac, Vivienne Rutherford, and Ethan Jones.

Edwards says the story has a personal connection and comes from her own family's past.

The movie premiere is at 7:20 p.m. during the film shorts event at the Fiesta Theaters.
