St. Joseph July Festival raises money for the church in Carpinteria

CARPINTERIA, Calif. (KEYY) The St. Joseph Church July festival is underway in Carpinteria.

People enjoyed seeing the "World's Famous Band" on Saturday.

The band opened with a tribute to Herb Alpert, who turned 91 this year.

 In addition to live music, there are games and rides.

There's also cotton candy and homemade dishes for sale.

The festival is selling raffle tickets for cash and prizes.

Proceeds benefit the church.

The July Festival is located on the 1500 block of Linden Ave.

Thanks to the large rides it is hard to miss.

The fun continues on Sunday from Noon to 9 p.m.
