Vintage Travel Trailers set up camp in Buellton

BUELLTON, Calif. - Hundreds of Vintage Travel Trailers from all over the country arrived in Buellton over the weekend for the 11th Annual Buellton Vintage Trailer Bash.

Normally, the event draws huge crowds to the Flying Flags RV Park, but this year the public was not allowed because of COVID-19 restrictions. 236 trailers and motorhomes did show up anyway. The owners followed physical distancing protocols to be safe.

The event, started by Ventura resident David Neel, draws vintage trailer owners from all over California and as far away as El Paso, Texas and Nashville, Tennessee.

The three day event included technical seminars from industry pros, a vintage fashion show, a vintage scooter display and a special drive through car show from the Santa Barbara Woodie Club.

Actor Tony Dow, who played Wally from 'Leave it to Beaver', is a regular participant in the event and he attended this year as well.

The Vintage Trailer Bash is scheduled again next September.
