Santa Maria Town Center targets June 1 as reopening date
SANTA MARIA, Calif. - Eddy Little is so excited to go shopping that they came a little too early. "I had to get some shoes but I’m glad to see things are starting to open."
The Santa Maria Town Center is targeting Monday for its reopening.
But first, managers want to make sure it’s safe for everyone.
"We have loads of directional markers on the floor to keep the traffic moving in one direction," said Kristen LaGrange with the Santa Maria Town Center.
Stores aren't the only businesses reopening.
The food court is coming back with changes to the dining area.
"Here we are at the food court where you’ll notice that all of the tables and chairs have been moved apart to create the necessary 6 foot distance," said LaGrange.
Shoppers are reminded that each store may have different hours and opening dates.
If you’re planning to go shopping at the mall and you’re over 13 years old, managers encourage everyone to wear a mask.
"We’re cleaning lots of surfaces and hanging lots of signs to remind people of the health and safety guidelines and keeping appropriate social distancing," sad LaGrange.
While the mall continues to prepare for its reopening, Little already knows which story he’ll be visiting first. "I’ll be Going to Footlocker at the mall."
